We had to make holes for badge lugs in our berets and caps, these caps probably wouldn’t be issued with holes in them. Could yours have been used with a slider rather than lugs perhaps Irv?

Whilst documentary evidence doesn’t support a theory of collar badges being different there’s often wishes on the forum for photographic evidence of past badges. I don’t have an axe to grind and don’t want to go searching for different collar badges for my collection but to my eye the picture seems to show a difference so thought I would share
