War Department Badge info please

Good afternoon,
Does anyone know the time frame for the issue of the star shaped War Department Constabulary badge? and was it the last pattern badge used?

The QC star pattern War Dept. Constabulary cap badge was introduced for wear by Sub-Inspectors and above in 1962 and continued in use until the merger of the force (Army Dept. Constabulary) into the MoD Police in 1971. It was worn with a green plastic backing to the EIIR centre. The badge has/is being heavily re-produced. Examples in any other finish other than chrome are reproductions.
