Hi all ,

General question and for my education, why are MBE’s post 1953 issued with a kings crown and not an Queen’s crown

Because there is no such thing as a 'Kings Crown' in true royal terms
It is the Imperial State Crown
Worn at the State opening of Parliament

What we call the 'Queens Crown' is the Saint Edwards Crown.
