The Australian Naval Auxiliary Patrol unit and badges are detailed in 'Kit Muster' by John Perryman.
NZ had a NAPS and only one badge to denote service which they wore on the cuff in the same way as the RNR and RNVR rating badges. The RSA was originally the Returned Services Association it was not until the 90's (I think) the they changed the name to Returned AND Services Association. Queen carnivals were a popular way of fund raising and lasted until the 1950's at least. Groups of like minded organisations would band together, nominate a queen and raise funds on her behalf. Groups like the Commercial Travellers Association, the RSA, the Retail Association etc. I also have a 1945 RNZAF RSA Queen Carnival pennant. Barry |

The RNR Commanders jacket is named to Winton.
He served on HMS Glenroy (landing ship) during Operation Neptune and then HMS Eaglet which was a DEMS training establishment. Barry |

Hi Barry
Some more amazing items, those KC chaplain's badges are hen's teeth! In post 157 there is a pair of merchant navy Second Officer shoulder straps with a diamond between two wavy lines. Do you know which company they were for as they look quite unique, so I suspect they were company specific? Thanks, cheers, Alex |

The shoulder straps are for a 1st Wireless Operator and part of the MN rank. Not specific to a shipping company.
In posts 298 and 47 are similar rank items. Barry |
