Default Help with bayonet

http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...1&d=1526412088

Hi all,
Any help identifying this bayonet would be appreciated I was working today and me and my customer got talking all things military (as you do) and he showed me this bayonet that his father in law had brought back from his time in the army during WW11, got it some where in France apparently, I said I’d try to find out a bit about it as the only thing i could tell him was that as far as I was concerned it wasn’t a British bayonet?? If any one could let me know anything about it I’ll pass the info on, he’s a nice old boy he will he chuffed.

German, WWII era, bakelite scales rather than earlier wooden ones (or are they wood?), wartime manufacturers codes instead of earlier manufacturers names, I can't remember much more about them without checking the books.

Hello,

The WW2 manufactures code of S/240 is that of Friedrich Herder und Sohn, Solingen.
