Default Winchester OTC

I have often wondered why Winchester OTC badge is so dull.

It appears that the pre-1908 cadet corps wore the Hants Regt collar badge of the rose and wreath and this is why Winchester added the 'Winchester' scroll to it for an OTC badge.

Why the OTC wore a collar badge whilst the Regulars and VB wore the bespoke FSC tiger badge rather than a collar is not known.
