I Think you are right about the GV1R as I now see no void above the cypher and crown.
The BP badge is Gilt a SNCOs I would say.
I still think the badge is Bronzed Here is a better Picture,

Malc,

This pouch badge also worn in No1 dress by the adjutant and field officers of The Queen's own Hussars . A relic from the 3rd Hussars .
