What are the overall dimensions of the cap badge and the collars for the CEF PPCLI badges?

Bill,

The cap badge was worn as collars as well! The officers wore the same badge as the OR's . There was no difference between the to! I can give you dimensions when I get home!

Hi Rob, Thanks. I was aware that the cap and collars were used interchangeably, but I would like the dimensions for my notes.

The measurements are H 42.14mm W 28.08mm

Default PPCLI Officer Collar Badges - Gilt
I just picked up this lovely pair of matching gilt collars out of the UK (thanks to eBay).

Geoff... Thanks for showing your different examples. Gives the rest of us some good reference points. I know that your main interest in collecting is the PPCLI and that you have one of the top collections in the country so thanks again for digging them out and showing them off... Jim

My understanding for these badges were that they were issued to the drafts of some of the University Companies that fed into the Regiment. I have only heard of maker marked badges. Can these badges be attributed to a particular manufacturer?

Default PPCLI pin back collars
My latest pair of collars. This set is in copper with pin back fasteners. No maker marks to these.

Latest acquisition.
Height: 41 mm // 1 5/8 inches
Width: 27 mm // 1 1/16 inches
Maker marked: J.R. GAUNT LONDON
Blade fasteners.

I am assuming that this is an officer's cap badge given the size and blades.
It is not mentioned in Cross.
Any other thoughts?
