I was wondering if he was - at first I thought the centrally place white blob on the lid was 'the' badge but my amateurish tinkering with the image makes when the badge look similar to a Royal Fusiliers metal grenade mounted on a painted or fabric horizontal rectangular backing. I'm not suggesting he's RF.

Indeed there are two, complete with all their equipment. Just cant tell from the photos which regiment the "Jock" is from. Cant make out what appears to some insignia on his helmet either.
