It looks like it may have had the Royal Regiment of Scotland two part badge fitted?
Also a different badge with w/e lugs? |

Thank you so much for replying.
When my friend first saw the TAM from a military surplus store. he asked around and no one seems to know about this(staffs from military surplus stores in Hong Kong are useless..). It already has that two lugs holes on both sides. I would have guessed its either Royal Scots or Highland Light Infantry. But I was wrong. For some reason, my friend thought it's from the RRS, which explains why the TAM O Shanter has so many holes now... Could it be UOTC? Thanks |

Is the patch of "Hunting Stewart" (I checked in this album)
https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...hp?albumid=337 If so, could the orientation of the sett be as worn on the Tam by a Piper of a unit whose Piper's wear the Hunting Stewart and other personnel wear a different tartan? |

Wouldn’t be Royal Regiment of Scotland as they wear the plain government tartan, no strips as far as I’m aware. Gerard
