Default What button is this (QVC)

Hi all,

A random pick-up. Any ideas what button is this? Nice gilt and QVC on it.

Thanks!

Hi

I believe it is the Royal Gloucester Hussars!

Not a Victorian crown in the design, but a (Ducal?) coronet.

I don't think its a Victorian Crown, isn't it a "Ducal Coronet", so it could be more modern than you think.

A picture of the back and an indication of size would be helpful.

I agree with the previous comments, Royal Gloucestershire Hussars and not a Victorian crown but a coronet. It is a ducal coronet because the device on the button is taken from the Arms of the Dukes of Beaufort who had a long-term connection with the regiment.

This pattern of button was in use for a very long time, is quite common and wouldn't be worth more than a few pounds in my view.

That's fair enough. I don't bother with extra photos.

If someone here wants it then happy to stick it to post - all free of charge.

Edit: button goes to forum member tinto
