Default Canadian made RNAS button

I have just acquired an RNAS button with the makers name: -

H. ROSENTHAL. TORONTO

I have never come across a Canadian made RNAS button before. I have attempted to find some information about the manufacturer but without success.

Would such a button have primarily been produced for Canadians serving in the RNAS or would it have simply been produced as part of an order for the RNAS in the UK?

I haven't posted an image as apart from the makers name it is a perfectly ordinary RNAS officers button - King's Crown above eagle, rope rim.

Pete
