Unknown Scottish unit
Hello,
Does someone can help to identify this group of Scottish soldiers? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1936-The-S.../151759802526?

hello !
At left, perhaps Loretto School (K&K II p205 n°2611) or St Andrews University (Bloomer I p54 n°353) |

Thanks you all for your help. Not easy to make out the large cap badge with the wreath and what looks like a shield in the center... The smaller could be St-Andrews or Loretto but not easy to confirm this. Maybe could be South-African or Australian cadets?

The captain in the centre and the 2nd Lt on the right could be - could be - wearing the Gordon Highlanders 3D stags head badge in relief so there could possibly be a Gordons connection. The tartan has the look of a Gordons and the horse hair sporran with 2 black tassles would support that, but that's all I can give. Maybe a school with a GH connection.

It's Lorretto school. They wore the Lovat Scouts Balmoral with a school badge. |

Alan looks to have nailed it! Whoever they are, they look like they got dressed in the dark!

They had a unique uniform hence the non-standard collar and ties!
