An ex Cheshire Regiment Major I knew was very critical of a picture in their Regimental museum - because he said the Vicker's gunners were painted firing with their sleeves rolled up - apparently strictly taboo! - not that I know much about such things myself - but I thought worth a mention for any re-enactors to research further.
