Default Worcestershire Imperial Yeomanry collars

I thought I'd share these now, one was from that collection with the screws on the back & covered in lacquer, I got it to pair up with one I already had. Magpie removed the screw & put 2 lugs on for me, then I had to tone it down & polish it, the end result is a nice looking pair I think ( collars I mean ) I think Dave may approve !

Hi guys,

i just picked up this collar piece today for the WIY and i am hoping that it is a good one ?

It is lugged with a gilt coloured solder.

It measures 38.1 x 28.5 mm.

Any opinions would be most welcome.

Regards,Martin.

Nice badges all-round fellas.

The smaller badges were worn 1901-1908 all gm for OR's and silver/gilt for officers. The badge was also used as a cap badge in the field service cap (FSC)(Bob Smith).

The larger badge (1901-1908) was worn on the slouch hat and can be found in all gm (as per Malc's example) or in silver/gilt for officers.

The pre 1908 collars appear surprisingly much more often than post 1908 collars. Sticking less to convention than their regular counterparts, I suspect they used these collars after 1908.

If your intention was to acquire items then please use the The Classifieds: Sales & Wanted. You might get a better response!
