Boer War Sterotypes

Just picked up another 4 Sterotypes for the Boer War and one is Black? From another set?
What I wish to ask though is how many where there in a Set? as some of the ones (Qty 34 which I bought a while ago) are numbered and goes up to the 80,s.

This article may interest you , it gives details about the Underwood & Underwood sets.

Erasmus (2012) suggested that between 280 and 300 Anglo-Boer war stereoviews were published by U & U. Following the research by the author of this article, some 525 titles by U & U have been identified to date (excluding any duplicated titles).

Underwood & Underwood

You can download a catalogue (spreadsheet) that alphabetically lists the 525 images.

I haven't checked the links to the lists if the other 2 manufacturers but would guess that between the three there would be a total of over 1000 !

All are Underwood
