listed as Victorian Pembroke Yeomanry Cape
Something I bought from ebay and I cannot find a match for it except the buttons are the CYC type with firmin & sons mid Victorian period date range 1852-1875, Firmin & Sons, 153 Strand London & 13 Conduit St Has anyone got any info on this. I paid what I was happy to pay for the three buttons on their own, but it would be nice to get some info and confirmation of what it is.

Thanks Griff, I hoped you would see this and comment.
Would it date to the period of the buttons 1852-1875?

...."I think" they stopped wearing the button post WW2? Memory fades as i have been told this before. As a Yeomanry cloak it would have been used, with the buttons, for as long as it was accepted for use (as seen in the example above). I have an example of an Officers post WW2 Blues with that button still in use in the 1950s. So that half cloak could probably be early Cold War (if it was older I would expect to see silver Lions Heads and chain across the neck)?

Thanks again Griff.
In the hand it feels mid 20th century. They must have had stocks of old buttons, or access to them, as the backmark on the buttons dates them as I posted above, third quarter of the 19th century.
