CUT THORAT RAZOR BADGE
Hi all just joined as really interested in Army history , but also have a random question my father had amongst many things from his w11 travels with the Wiltshire yeomanry(actually on horseback until they received tanks ) in Palestine and Italy a KROPP razor ground in Hamburg which dates it 1890-1910 i believe , which has a badge embossed on the handle now it looks like the Royal Irish Reg badge which were not form till 1958 i believe or King's Royal Irish Hussars badge . Any info greatly welcomed

The design is very similar to the Victorian era 8th Kings Royal Irish Hussars but without a title scroll it's impossible to be certain.

I am not an expert on razors but if it was issue then the badge has been put on later. I would expect a WD mark and soldiers' serial number if it was issue. The quality and the box looks too good to be issued.
