Allison has some, but she ain't selling! I've never paid much for these Frank, literally only pocket money prices, but most of mine have come from car boots, or the randoms tin in antique shops.
Did you soak your rusty one in coke?

Well, I was actually quite surprised to see just how much is often being sought by people selling examples these days.
No, I used some very fine emery paper which took the majority of the light surface rust and staining away without damaging the metal beneath.

That's good, it's a tricky one, I have a constant battle here with someone whose instinct is anything that is tarnished needs polishing. Patina has become, quite literally, a dirty word. We, not so long ago had a stand up argument on the issue. I won. Naturally.
( I got a new badge today from my employer along with a very generous gift card, its been a tough few weeks so it was very much appreciated- pic attached)

I think that patination is fine, but, rust and corrosion I'm not keen on, still not something you need consider with your new badge, these are certainly tough times, still could be worse, look at the USA last night!

Here are some of my examples.

The Lambourne's type. The "Esco", No 4 (Prov Pat). A white metal example, sadly no backing plate.
