Default AVENGERS John Steed's collection.

Being the sad sack I am, took this photo while watching "The Avengers"
Not the clearest but shows we are in good company.
Tony.

Judging by the depth of the stags head its an officers badge and the antlers will be facing forward and are often pressed inwards a little so wouldnt show in the photo.

According to a web search, Patrick Macnee ended his service in the RNVR as a Sub-Lieutenant on MTB's.

The IC uniform must have been for a part.

The photo of ‘John Steed’ in Intelligence Corps uniform is part of the character’s back story and nothing to do with Patrick Macnee who just played the part!

Ah right, the Intelligence corps bit is in reference to the John Steed character rather than Patrick MacNee.
Theres a couple of episodes where JS wears a Naval Uniform.

Patrick McNee also played a Naval officer in "The Battle of the River Plate" and a Ship's Captain in an episode of "Columbo".
