I truly hope no one is foolish enough to buy this "item", despite the elaborate and flawed fantasy history and the overly earnest protestation that "it" has provinance (sic) but it is lost... Ah yes, the old, "the dog ate my homework" defense.

WW2 VERY SCARCE 1st CANADIAN ARMOURED CARRIER REGIMENT "CANADIAN KANGAROOS"

I purchased this Ring approx. 10 years ago when I visited Canada. I bought it from a Military Dealer from Ontario who had it marked as "The 1st Canadian Kangaroos Armoured Division / Regiment".
The addition information that was purchased with this Ring was that is was Privately commissioned along with 8 others ( Identicle) in December 1944.
My Collection which I am selling is Very Large and has been catalogued from purchase starting from an Early age.
Unfortunately I now only have the Insurance part of the Catalogue as when we moved last year a box or 2 never made it from the removal which had original receipts and labeling details.
As I am no longer in posession of the Original history purchased with this ring I have to say as collectors you must decide for yourselves what value this has to you - (10 years ago this ring cost me over 5x the amount of the current listing price).
As you can see from the additional pictures, there are marking to the inside of the Ring which because I know longer have the original documentation I can not tell you the meaning to the letters and numbers.
The inside of the ring is marked "C 5 7 W" and to the opposite side of the inside of the Ring is marked with "A C" and then a Star, then a Malteese Cross proceeds the Star nd finished with a "W" all of which are in Boxes with the corner edges taken off.
I have checked for these marks and have had no sucess finding any of them.
I have tried to gain access to Canadian Military files through legitimate websites but unfortunately been unable to view individual numbers of Soldiers (I believe the numbers inside the ring in some way relate to an individual?).
The Ring has been tested to see if there is a presence of Gold and the test came back showing this is gilt plated on a mixture of copper / brass.
The ring is very chunky all round and weighs nearly 13g which is extremely heavy for a ring.
I have tried and tried to locate another 1 of these rings across the internet and also contacted many dealers but unfortunately have had no sucess.
If the owner of another 1 of these rings sees this listing could you please contact me with the correct information as it would be great to be able to sell this with the correct history and provinance.

I hope none of the seller's story is true, in particular I hate to think an Ontario dealer duped someone into buying this ring.

I saw the same ring on the weekend at the drugstore, you put your loonie in the slot and turn the handle and out pops a clear plastic egg with your original 24K 1CACR ring.

Well technically, yes it is a collar, but with the wear and the backing plate (and right facing) I'm guessing a genuine Sgt's sleeve badge.

LMAO I was thinking the same thing when I saw that Badge.

I have about given up on badge collecting anymore. I have started to return to my medals. There are a few Canadian Cap Badges, Collars and Metal Titles I am looking for but at the end of the day, I have pretty much lost interest.
