Abbreviation definitions?
In my research I have come across two abbreviations used repeatedly. The terms are used in relation to the acquisition of titles and patches for the army in the UK. I have some conjecture as to the meanings, but would like to confirm (or change) the terms.
1. L.P.O. (Local purchase order?) 2. T.L.P. (Total Local Purchase?)

I would have gone for 'Temporary Local Purchase', as this could have been used while they sorted out who was going to eventually be reponsible for suppling the item.

Here is the TLP abbreviation used in context:
The TLP figure of 11598 as notified in my 13/Dist/1/12 dated 13 Oct 43 should be maintained in future.

OK in that case it would make sence that the Total Local Purchase figure of 11,598 items is to be maintained.

Found the correct definition for TLP. It is Total Liability Period, which was the number of items for a given period of time. Usually the time period for insignia appears to be 1 year.
