The kindness of the Forum...
Hi
Just to wish everyone a really great '22 and say how much I enjoy being a member of the Forum. I would also like to publicly thank a member who, unbidden, posted me two lovely little old British Legion badges still in their boxes. Yes, mike_vee, I'm talking about you! A really nice gesture that meant a lot to me at this time of the year. |

Nicely done! I cannot begin to thank all of the kindness and generosity I've been blessed with by forum members. Sort of like family!

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year Ray !
After seeing photos of your superb and expansive collection of British Legion badges I thought that you would appreciate the boxed ones and they would be going to a good home. I have badges in my collection that were 'donated' by forum members and also their shared knowledge has made collecting interesting .... and fun ! PS. Why is this in the Canadian section ? .

Hi Mike
Well the gesture was more than appreciated! I thought that I'd put this in the "General topics" section but I've fallen in here before... I suppose if I keep on you'll think that I'm insincere, but I really can't overstate what that gift has meant to me. All the best for a (much?) better '22! |

it is something special to receive a gift from the forum membership. I have been lucky recently with such and it is much appreciated. I am not sure whether one makes it public or not if the gift was given privately.
