Default RAF jacket - Ribbon

Hello All,

I have inherited this jacket, and would like to know the meaning of the ribbon? .. hope someone can help me.

I would also like to know the age and model of the jacket and if there are collectors for this - and perhaps what value it represents.

I will at a later point get more information of the owner / pilot.

Thanks.

If you can show any Tailors label or naming detail it would help identifying the original owner.

Simon.

The rank may be for a Squadron Leader with the middle braid removed. The two stripes seem a bit far apart to me. Maybe try looking closely to see if there is evidence of an extra braid having beej sewn there.
Cheers,
Alex
