Default K.R.R.C Officers cap badge

Hi Gents,
This is appears to be a K.C Officers badge to the K.R.R.C 44 mm tall with Tel El Kebir battle honour.
A well made badge of which I have doubts about ( would expect to see blades perhaps).
Would welcome opinions from members whether this is heading straight to the restrikes box or not!
Many Thanks
Colin

Unfortunately likely a fake on all counts in my opinion. Have never seen anything like this cast badge, even "bazaar made" badges as made in India to not have those type of lugs. Officers of the KRRC wore boss badges on service dress and on FSC, entirely different from that of ORs. Can't imagine what form of dress this would be intended for.

I may be wrong, but as far as I remember, the bladed OSD badges only came into being after the Relief of Ladysmith badge was introduced, so it would be unlikely to be an OSD badge.
Cheers,
Alex
