British Army WW2 - Badge/chevron on left jacket sleeve
Hello. I wondered if anybody might be able to identify the badge and chevron on the left jacket sleeve of the soldier on the right of the attached photograph. It was taken in 1940 and there is a suggestion that the man on the right served with the King's Royal Rifle Corps. Many thanks.

They do indeed appear to be King's Royal Rifle Corps, the shoulder titles would be KRR on a red backing. The buttons are black horn. The chevron is actually a good conduct badge and many more than one could be awarded. Worn only by privates (rifleman in this case) and Lance Corporals. It would be black on a red background. I can't make out the trade/qualification badge above it.

I think that the badge above the chevron may be one of the "LG" variations.
