Default R1DIY

Hi all,
I am new to this forum.
I am a metal detectorist and found a shoulder epaulette with R1DIY on it.
Can anyone please help me identify which regiment it would belong to and it's possible age. It is not my intention to sell it, I am a collector.
I am grateful for any help.

Default Thank you

Thank you Simon that's great. I did find it in Devon so that makes sence. I didn't find the Royal First Devon Imperial Yeomanry in research so it's great to find out.
