Can someone help ID this lanyard.

If it is a maroon or dark red colour it could be 1 PARA, RAMC or QLR etc.
Colours vary with wear and fading and official descriptions are difficult e.g, Red number 3

I will post some comparisons.

I7 - Lanyard. Maroon - Duke of Lancaster's Regiment - Good provenance but probably identical to QLR / RAMC / 1 PARA type

Thanks Tim

I came to the same conclusion as what you have shown but couldnt descide which one.

Looking at it now I agree its faded to a dark shade of pink.

I'll probably document as all 3 possibilities.

Really appreciate the reply.

cheers

Phill

It really depends on the colour and how seen on screen, colour print or in the hand?

Is it or was it originally maroon, dark red or scarlet (45 Cdo)?

Thanks for your input Tim and Sunray 9

The closest colour match so far appears to be UK Amphibious force and Staff Director of RM.

Tim do lanyards fade that much?

cheers

Phill
