Default 1 SAS French

I bought this badge in St Malo about 30 years ago.
On the reverse side it is marked:

Drago
Paris
6463

'Qui ose gagne' is of course 'Who dares wins'

I understand the French 1 SAS is now:

1st Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment

Can anyone tell how and when this badge was worn?
Was it worn on military uniform, jacket/beret or civilian only?
Has the badge any value?

Many thanks!

This is a French army breast badge - worn I believe on the left pocket.

It is the badge of the 1er Régiment Parachutiste d'infanterie de Marine (RPIMa)....the unit is still active with the French Special Forces Command....worth 10 to 15 Euros...the one shown is an older make so could fetch a little more on the collector's market...

I think it was/is worn on a pocket fob with parade dress

Many thanks Guys for your responses!
It's much appreciated!
It's nice to think that it was a uniform badge!
