Two nice and expensive badges there,.
The first is an officers forage cap badge, 1870's I think. The second being Kings Crown is probably Indian but I cant read the letters. Can you read what they are? regards

Hi Simon,
The second one is 1st VENT - which I think might be F&G Coy of the 1st Isle of Wight Rifle Volunteers. It is indeed KC. The other the motto is Westmorland and us QVC and looks to be 1870/80s from its construction to my eyes. Yours John |

I believe the second badge to be 1st VB Northamptonshire Regt. I think the 1st Northampton RVC wore the attached (note the Victorian crown on this one), who then became the 1st VB.

You are correct, I’d misread it.

You may also find that it was worn by the 1st volunteer battalion Norfolk regiment.

Thanks, CT Auctions had a similar badge in 2016, they had it as Northamptonshire, but I see that it could be Norfolk.
