Hi Iain, it looks like a chromed copy of the pre 1910 badge. What did they say it's use is currently? Regards Andrew

Hi Andrew,

yes, it is. Apparently the badge of 1910, O449, was worn by RSMs and Officers above the rank of Major and the OC. This is now reintroduced in chrome.

Apparently NMR also do something similar with the prancing horse badge of the same same period; either O463 or 465

Hi Iain
Yes, the OC of NMR has been wearing the old prancing horse badge with the 'Just and Frank' motto for quite a while now, maybe the last 20 years or so. Must have found a stock of them in the stores or something.

i wasn't aware of the NMR using the old prancing horse; those badges are still as scarce tho'
