Default Anyone know what these badges are?

My mother found these badges which she believes belonged to her father who was an ambulance driver during WW2.

We have no idea if these are from those times of if they are completely unrelated. He was big into auctions so it's quite possible he picked them up from there.

Anyone have any ideas of what they are (or where I can find out this info)

Much appreciated,
Dan

Hello Dan.These are left, 13ème Demi-Brigade and right 1er Regiment Étranger, both French Foreign Legion. Both are still worn today. The 13ème is serving in Djibouti and the 1er regiment is based at Aubagne, near Marseilles.
Cheers
Jo
PS;can you post a pic of the backs ??

Smile Thanks

Wow, thanks Jo.
No idea how I forgot to mention the markings on the backs.

Images of the backs are attached.

Rear of 1st Foreign Regiment badge reads:
Publideal Bordeaux and G.1198

Rear of 13th Demi-Brigade of the Foreign Legion badge reads:
Drago Paris

Any idea if these are worth anything at all?
