Default Busby with RASC button

I expect these are theatrical rather than real military , but thought I would seek opinions from more knowledgeable collectors than me. I found an identical pair of these this morning at a flea market . They are busby like but the 'fur' is astrakhan' much like the Rifles headgear . The busby bag is secured in both hats with a large King's crown RASC button.

The RASC did have a band but a quick look didn't turn up any images of them wearing headgear like this (found peaked caps only).

I think it more likely to be a theatrical piece using any old buttons that came to hand!

Yes you may well be right , it is what I suspected , on the other hand there were 2 of them and they both have the same type of button, the caps are properly lined and the 'astrakhan ' material is an odd and unnecessary choice when just plain black would do for the theatre... however I do realise that none of this indicates that they are military .

Did Corps Band Buglers wear busby's?? I am sure I remember a Royal Signals Bugler wearing one.
