Default Royal Airship Works R100 Badge

Hello,

If my memory serves me correctly, I recall seeing a couple of Royal Airship Works R100 and R101 badges for sale about 3 or 4 years ago in a Bosleys auction and achieving significant sales prices.

I will have a look if I have the original details in a week or so, as I can reach my records just now.

Interestingly there is a reference to a R100 uniform and badge at http://www.airshipsonline.com/learn/...R100/Page3.htm

As regards the RNAS airship badge, that's another story. I'm with the majority that's they are fantasy pieces!

Best Wishes

The vendor is old club badges in Ramsgate, probably attends shows in the Uk, perhaps that is the vendor you saw Andy.

Did the badge actually exist Phil & do you know of a good one if it was in existence?

Bryan
Yes they certainly did. Badges for the R100 and R101 were made, examples of both sold a couple of years ago at auction amongst a massive collection of Zeppelin and other Airship memorabilia.

Another silver badge on ebay again. No doubt it will go for silly money again.
