"Brooker's Badges of the Canadian Army" Vol 3 & 4
Received the next two volumes of "Brooker's Badges of the Canadian Army" (Volumes 3 and 4). The images are better than the first two volumes, and there are a lot of badges described. Available from Service Publications.

I'm keen to get all 4 volumes but Clive's shows postage at $90 to Australia!
I would have thought it would be half that price? Mick

Mick, Check with Clive.
Canada Post rates are very stiff.

I've sent a couple of emails on an unrelated matter and not received a reply so I am guessing things at SP are busy these days.
For what it is worth, while I can't speak for SP, there is a general consensus in a number of different hobby discussion groups that postage has increased across the board. I notice in some wargaming forums, for example, the cost of shipping a small box - about the size and weight of the Brooker volumes (just got mine last week) - has gone up astronomically, and yes, many posts of concern from "down under" regarding postage fees from North America. You can check postage rates for yourself by going to the Canada Post website at http://www.canadapost.ca and getting a ballpark idea, not including shipper's fees for handling, etc., if you know the postal code of the shipper, approximate weight and size of the package, and the level of service that the shipper might be able to offer you. Postage rates - in a number of countries - for overseas shipping has been a matter of concern for a number of hobbyists trying to obtain books, games, militaria, etc.

I apologize to all for limited communication. My day job has me responsible for compliance and response to incidents involving the transport of dangerous goods, across Canada. This has seen me putting in a lot of hours due to the Bonnybrook incident in Calgary, followed closely by the tragedy at Lac Megantic, where I had three teams deployed.
This past week things started to get quiet but my 8-year old PC had to be replaced. Unfortunately, this has led to new problems and I have limited capacity while waiting for new software, etc.. Most of my replies I am sneeking in from my work PC. Clive
