Opinions sought re. HKSRA insignia
Hi fellas I would appreciate your thoughts re these 2 badges I have been offered.
They are both out of Singapore. I have a few doubts as to the pagri badge. i.e. is the felt good (Looks modern). Did this badge ever have HKS over RA ? In the new colonial badges book, there are 2 examples shown but all lettering is in one straight line. Should I be concerned or am I being paranoid ?! |

Both look fine to me. There was also a HKSRA curved s/t.
HKS-RGA (curved) was worn by the HK-S Bn RGA c.1907-24. They manned the coastal guns. |

The only reservation I have with these pagri (pugree) badges is that over 20 have been sold this year. It is possible that a store has been found, however when I was in HK not a one could we find.

Hi all
I am no expert on these badges but they look good to me. My only question, is the patch made from felt or broad cloth? There is a distinct difference and one that is used to distinguish genuine ww2 or earlier Aussie patches from the more modern repros. Your patch looks like modern felt? BC |
