The cap and the badge could be worn together. However, based on the maker mark, the badge probably dates from around 1970 while the cap, based on the label, is more "modern" and probably made in the last 5-10 years. I believe that the SNH Band was an association band and not therefore officially an Army Band so would have obtained uniforms and insignia from many sources. It is also possible that there is/was a Nottinghamshire Army Cadet Force unit which wears or wore that cap and badge. Tim

Thank you for your advice
I have 2 badges (Royal Mercian & Lancastrian Y and Royal Wiltshire Y). Do they be appropriate to the cap ? Laurent |
