Default M C A V Identification

Morning
I am trying to identify which Artillery Volunteers had the initials M C A V..circa 1870s
Any ideas please

Hello Pete

Some of these units were styled as '........Artillery Volunteer Corps', so is it possible that your initials are in the wrong order (sometimes very difficult to tell, on buttons especially!) and should be 'MAVC', rather than 'MCAV' - in which case I would plump for Middlesex Artillery Volunteer Corps.
