RTR badge
Could anyone tell me if this is an officers badge and secondly was it superseded by anodised aluminium? Thanks

Hi, it is a second pattern Q/C badge. Both first and second pattern exist in staybright so it wouldn't have been superseded but probably was an officer's or a private purchase, best wishes Mike

Hi Bess, there are at least 4 types that I know of. For convenience I have labeled them A,B,D and E, not having found a staybright C type, though B and C types seem the more common. I'm back at work until Thus. so I can send a more detailed description then, best wishes Mike

Hi Bess, some clearer pics. I've called them type A,B etc. for convenience. Type A is probably the first type as there is a 1960 HM one. Type B is probably next, Type B+ is for all intents and purposes a new badge, type D is a reworked type C and type E is abysmal but it is a staybright, best wishes Mike

Thanks Mike, I'll go through my RTR set, compare and see what I come up with.
