Royal army dental corps cloth shoulder title
help required -I know that following A. O 167/1946 when the Army Dental Corps became Royal the shoulder title changed from emerald green to Royal blue backing They appears to have slowly reverted back to the emerald green backing Despite many hour trying to find out if this was official or just a gradual drift back ,I have been unable to find any information Any help would be appreciated I ave a quite comprehensive collection of dental insignia and would like to produce a ''booklet '' on dental services -depends on help from my I.T. consultants [11years to 6 years ]
David Only item missing ARMY DENTAL CORPS full lettering |

R A D C green braid
Recent ebay purchase a complete female uniform with green braid x2 to right sleeve ,1 st class assistant Good start to the year as have been trying to obtain an example of the braid since early 1980's From correspondence with Denis Edwards 1983 ,before the publication of his book the braid was difficult to obtain even back then [similar uniform jacket for sale in Canada but at £112 0.+26.65 postage a little expensive]
May have to get a bigger mannequin as jacket 39 inch bust and person over 6 feet tall In gallery and Dental album Last edited by 49lassiepen; 04-01-23 at 07:42 PM. |

Marc re picture comment I think you are correct ,but still as worn .The only other braid [not dental ] I have seen for sale is on the medical military museum web site to the R A M C The construction is as your post
David Just rechecked the uniform for sale in Canada-Vancouver militaria , this braid also appears slightly different for that in your post.Could be regimental tailors used nearest that they had Last edited by 49lassiepen; 05-01-23 at 03:36 PM. |
