Default two buttons for ID.

Please let me know if I am right with the id on the two buttons. Both from the same field in Wexford Ireland, on the surface after ploughing. I cant make out the bottom half of the VR cypher button.....Thank you....paul.

There was a Loyal Somerset or Somersetshire Fencible Cavalry formed 20/10/1794 disbanded 1801-02 which served in Ireland during the Rebellion. Courtesy of Wikipedia.

You might get an answer about the Newfoundland button in the Canadian section of the Forum if none appears here.

David.

To both buttonman and Lazio thank you..... Is there any way I can find out where in Ireland they were stationed. Also was it common for a Canadian to serve in the UK? I would have thought it would be a cheaper option to use Home troops to operate on what was classed as home lands then.
