Default Scottish badge for ID please

hi all
is this a Highland Light Infantry badge?
ive searched the net and must be doing something wrong or have the wrong title?
anyway, what period is it from and is it a good one?

Royal Highland Fusiliers pipers badge.

It is present in the Marsh repro catalogue. Available in wm and SP & gilt.

I don’t collect QC era or pipers badges so cannot tell you what makes a good one but examples like yours are ubiquitous on eBay. I would not buy it.

I have an anodised one which member 'Hagwalther' seemed to think might be ok, but they were never approved.
