Chaplain's Badge
Hi All
What badge is this? Is it a stole badge? It is quite big, probably about 60mm high. Thanks, cheers, Alex |

As worn by Officiating Chaplains - that means local clergy and ministers - usually
regular units without permanent uniformed Chaplains. It is worn on the scarf, and never on a stole , which is a sacramental item of dress. With reorganisation they now have a new title. This badge authorised in the Chaplains Journal in 1930, along with newly designed cap badges, collars, and buttons. |
