Bladed Pioneer Corps Badge
Hi Everyone,
I recently acquired this Royal Pioneer Corps Badge with vertical blades. From looking at old posts and examples, the badge itself seems to be fine in my (rookie) opinion. However the blades on the back seemed to be a less common occurrence , and I've only found such a badge referenced once here. My example matches Thomas' badge described in that thread, so am I right in assuming it's most likely a wartime cap badge? And does anyone have any extra info that may be useful? Any help is appreciated, thanks! Joe |

Hello Joe, what you have is an Officer’s Service Dress cap badge .

Here is a similar example from my collection; the bronze finish varies on OSD badges.
