Default SAS Brass Tropical Wings?

Hi Team

what are your opinions on this brass SAS Tropical wing.

I have come across this thread but would like to have confirmation of good or bad.

Note the lugs are not alighned and not hallmarked

Any opinions on this.

I think the lugs have been resolded and they aren't aligned which makes me dubious about the one I have.

Phil, I have this pattern in anodised alluminium. These I know are good - I dont know enough about the brass ones to know if they are right or not (i.e. if they were produced for issue in brass).

My AA ones attached with backing plate for interests sake. I haven't scrutinised the detail between the two to see if they have related die flaws etc.

The only comparison to my one is in the thread and it comes of a poor second.

Youre one also looks detailed and better quality than mine.

Brass Parachute with wings, SAS. Pattern number 17228, Catalogue No. CB 7509, sealed 19 Sep 1956, entered the CCN on 11 Jan 1957. No NSN found.
