RMA Sandhurst
Does anyone have an example of the "collar badge sized" QC Staybrite RMA Sandhurst badge. As far as I recall (early 1960s) it was worn only by the Academy Sgt Maj and as part of a Cadet CSgt's badge of rank on BD and No 2 Dress. Possibly also by the RMAS Band?

It was no longer worn by C/C/Sgts by 1966. Eddie

Still worn by the AcSM in Blues No1 Dress and No2 Dress and also by the RMAS Band Corps until disbandment in 1984. Cadets wear white Gorgets rather than collar badges and Mons OCS had only a Guards RSM so Mons OCS collar badges do not exist?

It is interesting that JSP 768 2010 lists:
"Insignia Collar Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. All Ranks. Aluminium Anodised silver finish. NSN 8455-99-973-9718 and. NSN 8455-99-517-5539 with clutch fastenings. Will supersede the above when stocks exhausted." Given that the AcSM is probably issued with about 4 pairs and is in post for typically 10 or more years, stocks should last for some time! "The appointment of Regimental Sergeant Major of the Academy was upgraded to Academy Sergeant Major in December 1960. John Lord RSM of the Academy since June 1948 was the first to be appointed AcSM. The RSM of the Academy wore the small WO1 badge below the right elbow, but a new large badge was designed by Major-Gen Sir Philip Ward and authorised for wear above the elbow."
