Default Scots Guards Badge Backing Questions

In completing my Scottish badge display I am looking for the measurements of the Royal Stewart ribbon that is worn behind the officer's pip on the beret, and also the measurements for the blue/crimson/ ribbon worn behind the SNCO and the OR badges?

I have he badges and the ribbons, just don't know what size to cut the ribbons.

These badges will go in the first 3 blanks in the top row. When finished the cardboard backing will be covered in red flannel.

Thank you for any help,

Terry

Default Guards Badge Backing

Hi Terry, As none of the Guardsmen have answered I'll have a go,

In British Army Badges by Lt Col Robin Hodges

page 89 the OR & SNCO Beret Badge backing ribbon is 6x5.5cm (60x55mm)

page 104 the tartan patch behind the Officers Beret star is 4.5x3.5 (45x35mm)

The star is shown sitting central to the set of double yellow lines,

(framed by the double yellow lines)

hope this helps

best regards John

Hi John, This is excellent and just what I was looking for. May I ask for a clarification about the measurements jut to be sure. The first measurement is the length and the second measurement is the height? Can't afford to cut it wrong!!!

Again, my very sincere thanks!!!

Terry
