Default London Scottish Officer's Shoulder Belt Plate, a QC version ?

Hello,
i have in my collection this magnificent Officer's SBP in silver, with a KC for the period 1901-1953.
The link shows the Prince Edward worning a London Scottish uniform during the Trooping The Colour 2014. The SBP has a ... KC crown.

my question is :
Does a London Scottish off's SBP exist with a QC crown ?

Thank you for your opinions.
Regards.
Jean-Marie

Better replace the Getty Image with a link.
Their bots are searching the web for illegal copies. They follow up with a hefty charge and legal threats.

It's a lovely item.
If Edward is wearing a KC version, then it would seem likely that there isn't a QC version. It may help you to search on the London Scottish and see if you can find a QC version.
The 1st Cadet Btn KRRC which still exists, the crossbelt belt badge has a KC as does the pouch badge. As we've seen just because the QC is the norm,it doesnt mean everyone wears one. The KRRC belt plate had a Victorian crown from 1905 to 2007.

First post on the forum - pleased I've found it.

The London Scottish Regiment has a (very) small number of these badges, that are loaned out to serving officers when required - this includes the Earl of Wessex in his capacity as Royal Honorary Colonel, The London Regiment. All the badges have the KC on them.

As an aside, London Scottish officers still wear the crown and insignia of Queen Elizabeth (not Queen Elizabeth II) as their Sgian Dubh. Queen Elizabeth was their Royal Honorary Colonel from 1935 - 2002.

Maybe some day we'll get around to updating both!
