Polish badges?
My first post! Thanking you in advance for any help identifying these badges I found in my mum’s collection. My next door neighbour growing up was Polish and I assume they belonged to him. Look forward to finding out what they were for and any other information about them. Thanks

Badge 1 - WOSF (wojskowa odznaka sprawności fizycznej) translates as "military fitness badge".
"Military Physical Fitness Badge (WOSF, colloquially "Woska") - a badge awarded from 1969 to soldiers of the Polish Army , who achieved total physical fitness for all their school-year tests, "very good" or "good". https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wojsko...9Bci_Fizycznej Page in Polish but translation available.

Badge 2 - Couldn't find any info about badge but there may be a WW2 connection.
2nd Rifle Division(2 Dywizja Strzelców Pieszych) "The 2nd Division (2DSP) was based between late December 1939 and May 1940 at Parthenay in Eastern France. Commanded by Brigadier-General Prugar-Kietling the division was encharged with the defences around Belfort."

Thanks !
Hi Mike and thanks so much for your speedy reply and the effort to find information about these badges. That’s very helpful of you and I appreciate the effort. It’s intriguing to read the information you have supplied and to find out more about my next door neighbours past. I knew he had been in the army in Poland and I will have a good read of the link you provided. Thank you!
