The GOC Amritsar once again finds himself in the news today and will doubtless come under considerable examination in the Channel 4 documentary when screened tonight.

There's been a debate in the papers for the last few weeks.

There has certainly been a debate of one sort or another for the last hundred years!

Amritsar, in India, is the alledged scene of a massacre. GOC is the General Officer Commanding.

Alleged? Surely some mistake? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jallianwala_Bagh_massacre

Apologies, it was late at night, I don't know too much about the incident. I was just trying to help Lancer17 to know what was being talked about.

I didnt know if it was maybe another Bloody Sunday type incident, where accounts may differ.

I'll shut up in future.
